2019 Rocca di Frassinello Baffonero Maremma Rosso 750ml

TheBaffonerobyRocca di Frassinellowas obtained from 100% Merlot grapes grown in the territory of Gavorrano, in the province of Grosseto. The original vineyard, called Baffonero, is located at the foot of the cellar designed by the internationally renowned architect Renzo Piano and is situated on clayey soils, rich in structure, at an average altitude of 90 metres above sea level. The harvest was carried out in the first half of September with a very low yield in favour of quality, equal to 25 quintals per hectare. Before release, Rocca di Frassinello’s Baffonero Merlot Maremma Toscana IGT 2016 was aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
