About the Whisky:

Inspired by the beautiful, rugged surroundings of our distillery, The Glenturret 7 Years Old is an introduction to our line-up of core peat smoked releases.

American Oak driven, this whisky has a pronounced smoky character followed by sweeter, fruit notes, influenced from European Oak. Refill casks enhance our peated new make spirit character, giving a citrus-forward nose that develops into sweet, fruity notes on the palate.

Wisps of SMOKE from burning PEAT EMBERS. CITRUS FRUIT and CREAMY VANILLA. SWEET FRUIT and PEAT intertwine with TEMPERED OAK for a soft finish.

Lots of balanced peat on the palate, along with baked red berries and dark chocolatesweet but balanced against the peat. On the finish, its mid-length but very flavorful, a mix of dark chocolate and bright fruits, with peat fading in the distance. Not a hefty peat bomb in the least, despite the opening blast.”
